Shutdowns, Turnarounds, & Outages Optimization Training

What are the true costs of Shutdowns, Turnarounds, and Outages (STO)?  What are the steps to improve the process?

Some of the Shutdown-Turnaround-Outage (STO) workshop that will be covered include:

1. Introduction to STO Management: Understanding the importance of STO in improving company performance and the key objectives of the process.
2. Pre-Turnaround Phase: Identifying potential problem areas, establishing a STO team, setting performance standards, and conducting a risk assessment.
3. Planning Phase: Developing a detailed STO plan, including scope definition, resource allocation, work breakdown structure, and scheduling. Understanding the importance of contingency planning and stakeholder communication.
4. Execution Phase: Implementing the STO plan, coordinating all activities, managing contractors, and ensuring effective execution. Addressing issues such as safety, quality control, and cost control.
5. Post-STO Phase: Evaluating the success of the STO, analyzing lessons learned, and implementing improvements for future STOs. Developing a plan for ongoing maintenance and monitoring performance.

Throughout the workshop, emphasis will be placed on the role of training and development in ensuring a successful STO. Strategies for effective training, both for employees and contractors, will be discussed.
